Our approach is collaborative. What we consider a standard process may need to be adapted to fit the nuances of your collection. We want to first understand what you’re trying to accomplish, so we can problem-solve together and sort out the options that best meet your needs.

Backstage employs librarians. We offer tuition reimbursement to our staff and encourage pursuit of an MLIS. When hiring, we seek out candidates with experience in libraries and show preference to those who have earned or are working toward a degree in library science.
Our librarians are involved with the PCC, NACO, and CONSER. Our people have contributed to the development of standards and guidelines in the library community. Backstage has been an independent NACO contributor since 2015. We are a corporate member of the American Library Association and its Core division. Our people serve on ALA committees and have made presentations at ALA conferences and other professional meetings.
