Civil War Letters at Hamilton College

Backstage Library Woks has completed another digitization project for Hamilton College. The project includes the digitization of enlistment forms, reunion invitations, journal pages, envelopes, reunion ribbons, gaurd reports and special orders.

In addition to digitizing the items, all the letters have been transcribed and output to PDF's, which means that the entire text of the collection is searchable by name, date, or subject. Hamilton College will put the digitized collection on line which will provide historians, students, and researchers access to the letters that would otherwise be available only to visitors to the library.
